I'm not sure why you are thanking us - thanks to your helpful videos, I've fulfilled a childhood dream! (I was not allowed to play them as a kid.) Your tips are invaluable. Because of you, I won the first time I ever played the claw machine. I think one of the best pieces of advice is knowing what types of machines to look for.
Before I looked up claw machines and how to win at them online, I thought I was probably the only adult who wanted to play them. But, compared to gambling at a casino, it's so much more innocent (and fun!) that I don't know what I felt so embarrassed to try. I am still shy about it, though, because I am pretty sure I am known at Ralph's now as "that weird girl who comes in to play the claw machine."
Just today, I won these two things. The alien I am giving to my boyfriend. (I don't even know if he wants it, but he is so awesome and amazing, he deserves all the offerings I can come up with. ^_^) Thanks to Matt's videos, I knew that I had to get the hat before I could get at the alien.
There was a sugar loaf pig in the machine that was driving me nuts partly because I did something I never ever ever do - I named it before winning it, and not intentionally. It's just that it
has to be "Jodie" of Amityville Horror >_> (by Jay Anson - forget the movie, the book was better).
Anyways, I couldn't win it because it was just too close to the side, even though it was on its own and looked very get-able. >_<
I've watched both Matt's and Allen's videos and they are so fun to watch. Not to mention educational to newbies like me. However, something I've never found is a claw machine where you can control more than when it drops and where it goes before it drops.
Thank you guys so much!
