Homer, try putting a rubber grommet or some sort of a washer or spacer at the base of the claw, so that the metal plate that the claw fingers screw into doesn't come in contact with the bottom of the coil cylinder. I've read that it magnetizes and causes the base of the claw to stick to the cylinder...

The only thing I can think of is string isn't routed properly... or maybe something wrong with the switch that tells the machine that the claw has reached the bottom. But check to make sure string is routed properly over all the pulleys and such.

Fuses don't really 'control' anything.. they just prevent too much electricity from being sent to sensitive components to prevent frying them, if there's a spike or short circuit somewhere.

Thanks for sharing. That's definitely awesome that they're heading in that direction. Hopefully soon all machines will be fair, although that means either cost per play will go up, or prizes will be cheaper.
